I won’t be using generative AI on this website. I won’t be using generative AI on my phone. I won’t be using generative AI on my personal computer. I’ve been trying to collect my thoughts on generative AI for months. I can’t seem to write something that I’m completely happy with. So I’m going to post this as-is. All opinions are a work in progress. For the rest of this article assume AI means generative AI.

Web UI libraries should do everything in their power to render something relevant given absolutely any input. This, even if the consumer fails to include the necessary input for the component in question to function correctly. When graceful degradation is discussed in programming it is generally in regard to what a web app should do when various web features are not supported: if JS is disabled, do X. If the api fails, do Y.

After more than 5 years of playing off and on, my best friend and I finally finished Final Fantasy XII! I’ve been playing FFXII off and on since its release in 2006. So when we committed to play the game together I was hopeful we would actually complete it. I had no idea it would take this long. We only played on Fridays for a few hours and only in person.
