Marriage!
I’m married now! We had a wonderful ceremony and reception. My wife worked so hard on everything to make it absolutely amazing! I put in a lot of work as well of course, but she really owned the event. The planning and lead up activities pretty much consumed our entire existence this year. Now I’m trying to remember how to relax.
Miniatures With the wedding prep going on, I haven’t done much hobby stuff at all, but I did manage to play a couple of rounds of Space Station Zero.

Know Your System
I believe there are 3 things you need to know to interact with any system optimally: How it was intended to work. How people think it works. How it actually works. Knowing how the system was intended to work can help in finding the optimal way to interact with it. If you work with a system with the designer’s intentions in mind, you can take a path that is compatible with their future plans, and even their oversights. -
Intentionality
I’ve been leaving a note at the end of a lot of my writing to “do the thing I want to do, not the thing that is easy.” I think I’ve actually been managing to do that a little. I may not be able to keep it up all the time (or at all!) but it really does feel good when I can do it. Above anything else, Obsidian has helped me to succeed in this area. -
3 Qualities of Good Documentation
Content Quality Relevance Discoverability For documentation to be good it must meet all three criteria. Failure of any of the three indicates that the documentation is fundamentally flawed. It may be costing you or your organization much more than the time and energy spent producing it. Content Quality First the document must accurately communicate information. It should be up to date when written and updated regularly when the underlying information changes.
