Having never really recovered from the sleep schedule destruction of daylight savings time, I elected to take some vacation at the end of the week. I devoted that time solely to two pursuits: waking up on time and going to sleep on time. As a result my brain was fuzzy and I accomplished basically nothing else. Instead I played Destiny 2. I logged about 44 hours in the game in the last week and a half as a result.

Over a year ago, my Polaroid 600 Business Edition started draining the batteries of film continuously, causing me to waste a lot of money on unused shots. I set it aside, planning to buy a replacement camera.
Since then, I’ve shopped around for a new camera, 600 or otherwise, but haven’t been able to settle on anything. The Polaroid 600 cameras on ebay are all either untested or expensive. Modern digital cameras are only in the high end due to phones.

3D Scanning As I write this, my second 3D print of a scanned object is printing off. By the time I post this a full single-topic article will be up describing my experience. I started working with this device over a year ago. Why did it take me so long to get back to this? I’ve put more detail in the article, but it really comes down to procrastination. Getting this done has been hanging over my head, in part because the scanner is a loaner.

I released a new long(ish)-form blog article Please take a look at my latest single topic article, on understanding systems from different points of view, when you get the chance! I worked hard on this! It has been in draft form for more than 2 years -_- I’m glad I finally sat down and cleaned up my thoughts on this topic this week.
Airsonic Possibly the last time I will write about Airsonic for a while, not because of any issues, but because of how well it is going.

Airsonic + beets My airsonic + beets journey continues. It turns out there’s no really good way to merge singletons into an album in beets aside from re-importing (references here and here). So the tracks I imported with the -s flag have been an enormous pain the ass. In addition I somehow did something, I don’t know what, that wiped all the track data for the Umurangi Generation and Umurangi Generation Macro soundtracks.
